You have the unique opportunity to live inside an actively functioning Shaolin Temple.
Experience the life of legendary Warrior-Monks, participate in training practised for over 4000 years, and live an unforgettable adventure with a Polish group of Shaolin students.
The camp is designed for every level of experience.
During the Shaolin Camp at the Shaolin Temple in Chengdu, you will live according to the schedule of the Warrior Monks.
You will experience every aspect of the legendary Warriors’ lives.
You will eat, sleep, train, and participate in ceremonies and meditations with the Shaolin Monks every day of the camp.
Shaolin Yunnan Temple is the only centre in China to accommodate international students within an actively functioning Shaolin Temple. Training and activities for participants take place inside the Temple, and participants have the opportunity to interact with real Warriors from the legendary Shaolin Temple.
During the Shaolin Temple Camp, you will train under the guidance of true Masters from the Shaolin Temple.
The leading Master of the Shaolin Temple Yunnan is Shifu Shi Yanjun – Shaolin Master of the 34th Generation, and Meihua Quan, Master of the 17th Generation. Shifu Shi Yanjun is one of the most accomplished and recognisable masters in China.
Additionally, only masters with many years of experience in teaching (including foreign students), such as Shifu Shi Yanpeng and Shifu Shi Yanning, will conduct all the training. Shifu Shi Hengyi (Łukasz Duszak), the Headmaster of Shaolin Temple Poland, will be your guide and group leader during the camp.




*The camp price includes accommodation inside the Shaolin Temple, training sessions, and meals. It does not include travel expenses or personal expenses.
During the Shaolin Camp in China, you will experience the life of a real Shaolin Warrior.
The Shaolin Yunnan Monastery organises the event. The offer refers to a stay at the Monastery in China only. It does not include transportation costs. The organiser is not responsible for the failure to issue relevant documents by the appropriate authorities that allow entry to the territory of the People’s Republic of China or for the refusal to cross its borders by border guard services.
Master Shi Hengyi (Łukasz Duszak), the only foreign resident of the Shaolin Temple, will guide the group. Shifu will be fully available to the participants.
We provide 3 vegetarian meals per day during the camp. Participants will have the privilege of eating in the temple canteen among the monks.
Participants will take part in temple activities morning temple duties, ceremonial events in the temple, and other events taking place in the Shaolin Temple.
Participants will be accommodated in the Warrior Monks’ quarters during the camp. Rooms available are single (extra fees), double or quadruple occupancy.
We provide training according to the temple schedule (between 6 and 8 hours per day) – conducted by true masters of the Shaolin Temple.
Participants may take part in additional activities offered by the temple, such as learning Mandarin, traditional Chinese medicine, calligraphy, etc. (if available classes)

Every participant of the camp is obligated to follow the norms and regulations of the Shaolin Temple. After registering for the camp, each participant will receive a “Training Manual” and an “Enrolment Pack,” which includes rules and guidelines for staying at the Shaolin Temple.
Currently, ticket prices range from 900 to 1500 USD (round-trip). However, the situation is dynamic, and ticket prices can change daily. We suggest you wait to purchase tickets until June, and we will try to organise group tickets (depending on the number of participants).
For an X2 visa, we provide the necessary documents (invitation letters). An L visa does not require any specific documents issued by the Shaolin Temple. Of course, we will guide you in case you have any questions, but each participant must apply for a visa independently.
Only for groups. If a group of participants travels simultaneously, we will rent a bus to pick them up from the airport (for an additional fee). Each participant will also receive instructions on independently travelling from the airport to the Shaolin Temple.
No vaccination is required to enter China. If the current policy is maintained, a PCR test for COVID-19 will be required and must be taken at most 48 hours before crossing the border.
Yes! The camp is also intended for children aged 8 and up. We note that children will also participate in all monastery activities, and the fee for participating in the camp is the same as for an adult.
Depending on the type of visa applied for, between 260 and 445 PLN (prices according to the online price list – for exact information, contact the Chinese embassy).
Most likely a tourist L visa, but if it is not yet available, then a short-term X2 student visa. We will provide information about visas in May so that each participant has time to obtain one comfortably.
L and X2 visas are valid for three months from the issue date. It is best to apply in June to have enough time in case the visa is not granted and to stay within the three-month window for entry from the date of issue.
The Shaolin Temple does not require camp (program) participants to have insurance. However, it is advisable to have at least basic travel insurance just in case.

No, previous martial arts experience is not required to participate in the camp. The camp program was designed to accommodate various skill levels and abilities of the participants. Both beginners and advanced martial arts enthusiasts are welcomed. The training will be conducted by experienced masters and teachers who will be able to help participants develop their skills. However, it is worth remembering that martial arts are a demanding discipline that requires commitment and effort, so participants should be prepared for intensive training.
We accept applications until May 31, 2023, or until places are filled.

It is best to purchase tickets after receiving the documents from the Monastery.

Stay from August 2nd to August 18th, 2023.
The camp for the Polish group will take place from August 2nd to August 18th, 2023. For those interested, there is an opportunity to participate in a group tour from August 19th to August 24th, 2023.
We will confirm the group tour when the minimum number of participants is reached.
*The tour is not included in the camp fee. We will provide an estimated cost for the tour when the group is formed.
Participation in the camp is determined by the order of applications and the payment of the registration fee (200 non-refundable USD). The remaining fee must be paid in cash on arrival at the monastery.
Monthly stay at the Temple
A full month of training (2.08 – 2.09.2023)
There is an option to sign up for a full month of training, which means you will stay at the Temple after the departure of the Polish group.

The price for a monthly stay at the Temple is 1190 USD.
The decision of who will attend the camp will depend on the order of submissions and registration fee payments (200 non-refundable USD). The remaining part of the fee should be paid in cash on the day of arrival at the Temple.
Summer camp has limited places. For reservations, register via the application form.
Within 48 hours, you will receive an email confirming your reservation. In addition, you will receive full instructions on how to pay the deposit and the remaining amount. The place is only secured when the deposit or full amount is cleared. The deposit is non-refundable. However, it can be transferable to another student if you cannot attend.
